IEP&Me - A Platform for Special Needs and Education
This project holds a special place in my career as a product designer. The challenge was to create a low-fidelity website platform that catered to students with IEPs, their teachers, and parents. The goal was to provide a comprehensive view of each student's learning progress while fostering open communication and offering accessible resources to support their educational journey.
From a user perspective, the design prioritized simplicity, accessibility, and intuitive navigation to meet the diverse needs of students with special requirements, their educators, and their families. Features like personalized progress tracking, streamlined communication channels, and easy access to educational resources were central to enhancing the user experience.
From a business standpoint, the design focused on scalability, data-driven insights, and user engagement. The first prototype not only helped us secure our initial round of angel investment but also allowed us to conduct valuable user testing. This process uncovered key growth opportunities and critical user needs, guiding future iterations and strengthening the product's value proposition.

This project has been a transformative experience for me, enabling us to blend empathy-driven design with strategic business goals to establish the foundation of a platform that truly makes a difference in education for special needs.
